Brussels adopts the simplified reporting standards ESRS

The European Commission adopted a delegated regulation revising the European Sustainability Reporting Standards which is the disclosure backbone of the CSRD. This enables the EU to implement the simplification agreed under the Omnibus reforms, alongside a separate voluntary reporting standard for companies outside the mandatory scope. For Indian suppliers to CSRD-reporting customers, the value-chain questionnaires arriving from FY2027 will be built on the revised standards. The delegated act is yet to come into force.
